Description: The workshop will describe what The Emotional Intelligence Zone is, why it brings value to students during their academic and clinical years, where and how (using workshops and individual coaching) we successfully integrated this structure and strategy into our curriculum to enhance student wellness and how you can too.
Learning Objectives:
Define, explain and give examples of WHAT The Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Zone is
Analyze and appraise WHY the EQ Zone brings value to PA students and meaningfully fulfills the ARC-PA wellness requirement, B2.20
Upon completion, participant will have experienced a hands-on, interactive demonstration of HOW our workshops are conducted, using large group discussions, breakout sessions and moments of self-reflection
Envision, create, and potentially implement a similar construct into their own program and ideas on WHERE to integrate it into their curriculum
Articulate, compare, contrast and specify the benefits and barriers of implementing the emotional intelligence into their programs
