Description: During this workshop, a brief introduction on gamification and Escape Room use in PA education will be followed by attendees completing a step-by-step workbook to create a template for their own didactic Escape Room to employ. Adaptations for high versus low resources and large versus small programs will be addressed.

Learning Objectives:

Describe the effects of gamification and Escape Rooms on student confidence, engagement, and learning outcomes in health professions education
Describe how two PA programs incorporated Escape Rooms into their teaching and discuss lessons learned from those experiences
Identify potential challenges involved in Escape Room creation and delivery in PA programs
Create a template for an Escape Room active learning experience that can be employed in didactic PA education
