Description: This presentation aims to discuss how the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can complement the PA education experience. This will include a discussion of the gaps of traditional methods in regards to teaching clinical reasoning, and how AI serving as a virtual patient and a preceptor can fill them.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the benefits of incorporating case-based AI learning into PA education.
  • Describe how the challenges of working with AI can be overcome.
  • List the ethical considerations and limitations of incorporating AI into PA curricula to ensure responsible and successful integration.
  • Define the optimal steps that should be taken by educators in order to successfully integrate AI into PA education.
