Description: This presentation utilizes a novel active learning approach, forum theater, to provide a vulnerable glimpse into the need for intentional mentorship for Black men in PA education. We offer data, barriers, benefits, frameworks, and existing mentorship programs to guide the development and sustainability of mentorship programs for Black men PAs.

Learning Objectives:

Recognize the unique challenges faced by pre-matriculated and matriculated Black men in PA education
Identify effective intentional mentorship strategies to support Black men from pre-matriculation through matriculation
Develop actionable plans for implementing intentional mentorship in PA programs
Evaluate the impact of mentorship on the retention and success of Black men PA students
Compare and contrast existing intentional mentorship programs and their sustainability outcomes
