Description: There is a significant link between professional violations in training programs and in practice. As generational cultures change, the idea of what constitutes professionalism changes, leading to dissonance between faculty and students. This session will demonstrate an introduction to professionalism for PA students in an interactive case study format.

Learning Objectives:

  • Analyze the current data relating to professionalism violations in training programs and professional settings
  • Discuss differences in perceptions of professionalism between students and faculty
  • Conceptualize case studies to use to illustrate professionalism for the 21st century learner
